MEDIchair Halton is one of 62 Canadian individually owned and operated franchises of home medical equipment. Our store opened in 1994 on Lakeshore Rd in Oakville by entrepreneur Tom Bradfield. The current owners, David and Kristin Courtney, partnered with Tom in 1998, and gained full ownership in 2000. In July 2003, MEDIchair Halton relocated to a much larger retail location at 549 Bronte Road in order to accommodate the tremendous growth and more effectively serve the Halton and Peel regions. Since their involvement in the business, MEDIchair Halton has been recognized for the highest cumulative growth amongst all franchises. MEDIchair Halton is a member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, the recipient of the 2005 Business Partner of the Year Award through the Goodwill Works program and the 2007 Diamond Readers Choice Award for Home Medical Equipment.  MEDIchair Halton provides a superior level of medical equipment maintenance in many long-term care facilities, private homes and senior living environments to help foster a high level of safety and comfort.   We take pride in our highly skilled on-site service department, and our knowledgeable and friendly mobility specialists. Our growth over the past several years is greatly attributed to our commitment to provide high quality service along with optimal freedom through mobility for our customers.

We are also involved in many charitable community initiatives, and offer continuing education for health care professionals which includes annual education day in the spring. MEDIchair Halton works closely with many war Veterans and hosts an annual complimentary luncheon to honour them. More than 700 hundred Veterans and their guests attended the 2007 luncheon on November 2 at the Oakville Conference Centre. Many Veterans are transported in from neighbouring long-term care facilities and senior living environments to enjoy a brief and moving flag and bagpipe ceremony, authentic museum displays, door prizes and live big band music. The 2008 luncheon is scheduled for Friday November 7 at the Oakville Conference Centre.  We welcome all Veterans, our nation’s heroes to this luncheon and welcome your call if you have any questions, or know of a Veteran who would like to attend.
